For my second print, I wanted to print something useful. I wanted to design something and print it.
When I recently moved, I lost a couple of bushings on the pulleys of the exercise machine. I whipped up a simple bushing using my digital calipers to measure one of the remaining bushings.
I created the object in Rhino 3D beta for the Mac, and sent the file to the Ecksbot.
During the print, I fed in some red ABS filament as the test filament was running out. So, you can see the red and white layers in the final objects.
Not the most exciting item, but, it is useful. And it works great! No more grinding sound on the pulley.
