The following tools were used in the assembly of the 3D printer, but, you may use more or less tools, depending on what you have available:
- tape measure
- 13mm combination wrenches (2 required)
- hex keys (Allen keys): 3mm and 2.5mm – for these, I used individual keys, rather than the pocket knife style to make it easier to get into tighter spaces during assembly. I found the longer ones, with the ball ends were handy for some bolts.
- adjustable “chanellock” style pliers – used to set hex nuts in plastic sockets sometimes
- “super glue”
- knife or side cutters for trimming speed ties
- velcro strap – used to suspend X carriage instead of string
- small flashlight (or phone with flashlight app)
- masking tape
- Sharpie
- scissors
- toothpick
- hammer
- wooden block(s)
- digital calipers (handy if you have them)
